At Secret Surgery Ltd, we receive countless of enquiries monthly from patient asking how they can effectively eliminate what they term as “Bingo Wings” or “Bat Wings”, these descriptions are use to describe the sagging of the tissues on the upper arm, this occurs naturally as a result of ageing and significant weight loss.
This weight loss may be due to a pregnancy or a drastic diet change. When this happens, a bag-like flesh appears on the lower side of the upper arm.
This aesthetic issue can be resolved with arm lift surgery. The skin and subcutaneous tissue is removed during surgery. These scars on the arm are worth the trade off for patients whose objective it is to wear short sleeved shirts.
An arm lift (also known as a Brachioplasty), is a surgical procedure that reshapes the under portion of the upper arm to reduce excess sagging underarm skin, remove fat and smooth and tighten the appearance of the upper arm.
